Backlink profile
A backlink profile is the sum of all links pointing to a site. Which patterns look natural, which look built, and what to check before adding more.

A backlink profile is the total picture of all links pointing to a website: how many there are, which domains they come from, what anchors they use, which attributes they carry, and how they accumulated over time. Search engines assess it as a whole, not link by link.
What a natural profile looks like
Mixed. Mostly branded and generic anchors with a minority of keyword anchors. A spread of dofollow and nofollow rather than dofollow only. Links from sites of varying size and strength. And growth that is continuous instead of arriving in bursts.
The patterns that stand out
A profile where most incoming links carry the same keyword anchor, or where every link is dofollow, or where hundreds appeared in one week. None of these occur when people link on their own, which is exactly why they are noticeable.
How the marketplace fits in
Of 33,482 offers in the Linkbroker catalogue, 97.4 percent are dofollow and 2.4 percent nofollow (as of September 2026). If you book exclusively from the larger group, your profile will drift towards a pattern that does not occur naturally. Mixing in mentions without links is not a compromise, it is what real profiles look like.
What to check before adding more
Your current anchor distribution, your ratio of backlinks to referring domains, and whether the pages receiving links are the ones that earn money.
The honest limitation
A clean profile does not rank a page on its own. It removes a reason to be held back, which is not the same as a reason to move up.
